How to install Claude Skills

The eight Vacation Rental Team Skills are plain SKILL.md files. You can paste one into Claude.ai in about five minutes with no install, or put all eight into Claude Code with one command. Here is every path, step by step.

Before you start: pick a path

Install a Claude Skill in Claude.ai (browser)

  1. Sign in

    Go to claude.ai. Pro, Team or Enterprise work; the Free tier works for short tests.

  2. Create a Project

    Click Projects → Create Project and name it after the role, e.g. “Owner Relations”.

  3. Copy the SKILL.md

    Open the skill's SKILL.md (links below), click Raw on GitHub, and copy everything.

  4. Paste it into the Project instructions

    Click Set instructions, paste, and save. Every new chat in that Project now runs as that teammate.

  5. Start chatting

    Try one of the example tasks on the skill's page. Tip: make one Project per skill and switch Projects as your role changes during the day.

Install all eight skills in Claude Code with npx

  1. Install Node.js 18+ and Git

    From nodejs.org and git-scm.com if you don't have them.

  2. Run the installer

    It clones the skills into ~/.claude/skills/vacationrental-team-skills/, where Claude Code loads them automatically.

  3. Open Claude Code and ask

    No need to pick a skill — Claude chooses the right one from your prompt.

Then confirm the rule is active under Settings → Cursor Settings → Rules.

After installing

First step for every skill: a shared Knowledge Base

Every skill reads from — and writes to — one shared Knowledge Base for your portfolio. It can live wherever your team already keeps documents: a Google Drive folder (most common), Dropbox, OneDrive / SharePoint / Box, Notion, or a local folder synced to any of those. The General Manager skill will create this structure for you if you don't have one:

Already have an Airbnb host profile, a VRBO landlord page or a direct-booking site? The skills can use Firecrawl to crawl it and seed the Knowledge Base — property list, headline copy, amenities, review counts — so you don't fill it in by hand. Integrations are optional: every skill works on its own.
